Potato, poetaato, predictions, projections… let’s call the whole thing off.

Stewart Mandel channels his inner Bill Clinton:

… First, a clarification, one I probably should have made clear last week. These [Ed. note - link added.] are not bowl predictions. Contrary to what many of you apparently believed (judging by my e-mails), by no means am I attempting to predict the result of every remaining game the rest of the season.

These projections are merely meant for you to get a sense of what teams would be playing where if the season ended today

Stupid readers…

Senator, how about re-visiting your key SEC statistical categories that you stopped keeping track of about 4 wins ago? I’d be interested particularly given the suffering of UK and Steve Spurrier in all statistical categories lately.

  2. I thought about it, but I’m a little superstitious about reinstating that series right now. Georgia hasn’t lost since I stopped running it.

Sure, everybody thinks it’s due to Moreno, but I’m not taking any chances. ;)

Your point is well taken. This year I have no superstitions. I purposely threw all the old lucky game day shirts, rituals, etc., out the window this year. In fact, I almost put on my old red and black Brooks running shoes that I wore to Tuscaloosa and Jacksonville (but did not wear to the Steve Spurrier game or to Knoxville) last Saturday, but I purposely left them at home. So the question becomes…is it superstitious to make sure you are not being superstitious?!
