It may be a cheap shot, but that doesn’t mean it’s not funny.

nice concept, but certainly they could have “blinged it up” sufficiently to make it a little more real. Or, keep it real. You know, like a couple of diamonds, or something with a Gatah. Even a crocodile. And some inscriptions, because we all know tattoo ink smears on metal. ‘Cause that’s just how the Ol’ Ball Corch be rollin’, yo.

Seems to me that the entire thing continues to be swept under the rug by Meyer and UF.

Look, everyone in the SEC has problem guys. Ufk recruited a string of murderers in Leonard Little, Dwayne Goodrich and Donte Stallworth, in addition to the guys like Tony Brown and Albert Haynesworth.

We have our Clarence Kay’s and Odell’s.

But the stuff that is being continuously glossed over in Gainesville is unbelieveable. Some of Miami’s 1980′s reputation was built on the stories of Uzi’s in the dorms. At UF, they have had a few assault weapons get shot off in the last couple of years.

UGA has had its share of widely publicized arrests, and some have been DUI’s, or the particularly ugly Michael Lemon incident, but most have been for rudimentary college offenses that only occurred because of the pathetic ineptitude of the Athens/UGA police force (another subject for another post). I shudder to think what would happen if a UGA player got arrested for POSSESSING an assault rifle, much less for SHOOTING THE WEAPON in public.

When you also have a player die from a drug overdose and another who steals a deceased person’s credit card, there are some pretty serious underlying issues going on. All is well now, because Tebow is the Tyler Hansborough on CFB, and they are winning non-stop, but as soon as they have another 8-4 season, the issues will become magnified.

I wonder if Meyer will even be around then.

sorry to Tony Brown, I meant Tony McDaniel, the Ufk thug who almost killed the kid in an intramural b-ball game.

“At UF, they have had a few assault weapons get shot off in the last couple of years.”

Ronnie Wilson and… uh… Ronnie Wilson again, I guess?

“When you also have a player die from a drug overdose”

Avery Atkins… a player who had been dismissed from the team… the year before…

“and another who steals a deceased person’s credit card”

Who was immediately dismissed from the team (seriously, within hours of the story).

Look, UF’s had a bad run of legal problems lately, but so have we, and NEITHER are NEARLY as bad as Miami was. Stop the hyperbole.
