Life with Fulmer

Oh, snap.

I really don’t get Phil Fulmer’s crusade against Junior – not that he’s engaged in it, of course, since it’s clearly meant to obscure his own contribution to Tennessee’s current fall from grace, but that he actually expects people to buy into it.

Judging from comments like this, he’s got more work to do.

… We’re not alone.  A lot of you sent me email this weekend to alert me to a story that proves we are collectively making a difference.  Former Tennessee head coach (shown below looking like he’s sustained a head injury) was quoted by CBS Sports saying the following:

Tennessee is a very proud program as we all know with great traditions and the people of Tennessee felt betrayed to be honest with you. They were embarrassed, felt jilted with all the cost of the change there was. Kiffin, he left Tennessee with basically his hat in his hand and a bunch of NCAA compliance questions.

Many in our community are glad that he is gone. He never really embraced the traditions, the values of the program or the community for that matter. And often his arrogant attitude turned people off. The bigger question in my opinion is how does a guy like this end up with two jobs with historic football teams like Tennessee and USC.”

You may remember Phil Fulmer from his 5-7 season which lead UT to hire Lane Kiffin in an attempt to help the school have a less fat head coach.  Fulmer is also the only college coach to have not won a national champion while having Peyton Fucking Manning on his team…

He’s also after Hamilton. I think it has a lot to do with discrediting Hamilton more than it’s throwing Kiffie under the bus. Phil is still pissed over Hamilton firing him and would love to see Hamilton get canned.

    • Eh. I mean, sure he’s lobbying for the job. But he doesn’t have to smack Kiffin in public to do that. In fact, that stuff is usually much more effective behind closed doors with the decision makers anyway.

Agreed but Phil knows he can’t come out and criticize Hamilton in public or it looks like sour grapes. Instead he’ll slam everything associated with Hamilton hoping to win support among UT alumni and boosters for him to be AD.

People have very short memories. The UT crowd will forget all of the reasons that they wanted Fulmer gone. He’s actually playing this smart, IMO.

Agreed. He used exactly the right language in exactly the right part of the sentence:

“The bigger question in my opinion is how does a guy like this end up with two jobs with historic football teams like Tennessee and USC.”

Hmm. How DOES a guy like that end up with a job at Tennessee? Real head-scratcher, there. Anyone think the UT knuckleheads will catch his drift?

Fulmer is after the AD job. He pulled the knife he used out of Johnny Major’s back and now he’s after Mike Hamilton. Fulmer is the epitome of the sleazy college coach.

From what I hear on the net the gambling alum of USC will be killing Kiffin shortly if he keeps going for 2 points on every TD.
Phat Phil not withstanding Kiffin really is the village idiot.

If Fulmer is after Hamilton, I’m for it. Don’t get me wrong, I love watching UT writhe in this kiffin-induce agony, but out of sheer principle Mike Hamilton should be jobless. That dude SUCKS as an AD and I’m shocked he’s gone for so long with his job title intact. Had Damon Evans pre-Panty Gate fired Richt, brought in the unproven, contemptible Kiffin to derail the football program, and all the while turn a blind eye to our men’s basketball coach while he flat lied to the NCAA, but having left himself with no outlet through which to disassociate the program from said cheater, we’d burn him in effigy from the arch

Although sour grapes are the motivation for Fulmer’s diatribe, it’s hard to disagree with what he said. It’s maddening the way the mainstream media has refused to acknowledge how undeserving Kiffin is of the jobs he keeps getting offered.

“Fulmer is also the only college coach to have not won a national champion while having Peyton Fucking Manning on his team…”

No but Phil did win it with Tee Martin from Jamarcusville (Mobile), a feat even more amazing than not winning it with Peyton Ph**king Manning.

Damn, look at that picture. That Phil Fulmer sure is a good looking man!
