  • Looks like we lost a lot of interest in the Poll this year.  Some of that is due no doubt to voters dropping out as the teams they follow did, too.  But some is probably due to how we promoted it this season.  It’s something for me to ponder in the offseason, as I’d like to bring it back, but we’re getting to the point where the sample size is too small for it to have much meaning.
  • That said, I can’t say the final rankings are unreasonably crazy.  Biggest disparity I see between this poll and the Coaches Poll is Alabama, which the coaches didn’t place in their top ten.

    Senator,

I think part of the disinterest in the final Mumme Poll was due to the long layoff during the bowl season. I honestly wouldn’t have remembered to vote if you hadn’t put your poll up yesterday.

I dropped out this year – after the Auburn homers propelled their team to number one in mid season by leaving undefeated Oregon off their ballots (despite the fact that mumme poll voters had Oregon ranked #1 by a 4 to 1 advantage). I thought there was going to be a check for this. It was beyond relevant to me at that point.

Arthur Johnson of the Ath. Dept. is leaving for Texas, whatever that means.

Where’s my Get the Picture fix today? The first days are the worst days of offseason withdrawal, and the Senator has gone dark.

I participated last year, but I never recall seeing a reminder email about it this year. I would have done it again.
