Etched in stone

I wish I could take credit for the discovery (h/t SEC Rant message board), but it’s worth noting the typo in the plaque honoring the 2009 Alabama national championship team.

It’s the MacArthur Trophy.  It’s named in honor of Gen. Douglas MacArthur.  Perhaps some of you in Tuscaloosa have heard of him.

I guess Saban told the designer he didn’t have time for that spell check shit.

MacArthur who? Saban has been far more important to the free world than some little known general. Where the hell is MacArthur’s statue??!!

    Unbelievable.

The man that avenged the Germans attack on Pearl Harbor can’t even get his name spelled correctly.

MacArthur is a park. Somebody left a cake out in the rain. Then they wrote a two hour song about it that noboby could understand, even drunk.

Bama also misspelled Mississippi on their MSU tickets last year. You’d think they’d be checking this.
