Not many of us believe Garcia is really gone, at least not if he wants to stay. But, watching it play out – the dance, the fake atonement, the healing – who says guys don’t love soap operas?
Am I a bad person if I hope that Jeremy Shapp or Chris Connelly does a story for ESPN profiling Garcia’s talent, travails, downfall and eventual “come to Jesus” this summer and how he’s a new man?
Even though he hurts you, there are still feelings there. Kind of like battered woman’s syndrome.
Seriously, letting him go would definitely hurt Steve more than Stephen. Principles are a b#tch when they actually have to cost you something. Of course they are not really principles otherwise, are they?
Garcia is starting to make Art Schlister look like a stable, well adjusted guy. If he screws up one more time, Spurrier is going to permanently ban him from spring practice at South Carolina. That’ll teach him.
Is Connor Shaw just not as good as he’s supposed to be at this point or what? I mean, if your bread and butter is your awesome running back and great recievers, why can’t he get the ball to them just as well as Garcia? And isn’t he even much more of a run threat as well?
5 suspensions and he still has a shot of rejoining the team. What a joke. It’s this kind of lax attitude toward poor behavior that brings your team down. Just ask Phil Fulmer. That’s why we have the Fulmer Cup.
Do you mean the Phillip Fulmer that won 2 SEC Championships, 6 SEC East titles, a BCSNC at UT and had a career winning percentage of .745? The guy who was 10-6 against the Dawgs. That Phillip Fulmer? Looks like his method of lack of discipline and out and out cheating worked pretty well.
“I hope they would have the same commitment every year,” Richt said. “But they are human and they’re going to be hearing about it and thinking about it all year and they know that we can’t wait ‘til midseason to be in midseason form. We’ve got to be there Game One. So that means you’ve got to be prepared.” -- AJ-C, 5/7/13

Steve Spurrier said his quarterback “has got a chance of being back”

Yeah and that chance is 100% (nice SNL reference)
I’m betting Gargia’s gone. Time will tell.
They deserve each other.
