Jon Solomon is the Jerry McGuire of sportswriters.

While Jon doesn’t provide much for the seekers of lists, his article links to Nick’s Roster Management/Punishment List, which contains the usual sunshine, “No reasons were given for their punishments.”

Speaking of lists, I’m very lazy and have not checked to see how many Dawgs have made the “Top 100 NFL Players of 2010″ list that contiuously scrolls the bottom of the screen on the NFL Network. Anybody know by chance?

Wonder if Paul Finebaum is just going to sit there and take that? Because Solomon’s top 5 is Finebaum’s whole show.

Tonight CSS replayed the 2009 Auburn-UGA game. In spite of all the gnashing of teeth that occurred from the fan base that year it really was a pretty good football team at least offensively. Even the D had its moments, at least against Auburn. That team, which finished 8-5, had 1 game (LSU) stolen and lost another on a late fumble (UK) that never should have happened. If they win those 2 games the season ends up being 10-3 and a pretty respectable year. I actually feel sorry for the leaders of that team, Rennie Curran on defense and Joe Cox on offense, who played their guts out only to come up short. Football can be a very cruel sport.

Mayor, I have had those EXACT same feelings and thoughts about that team and defended them to anyone who will listen on the regular. It really bothers me when Joe Cox is ever the punchline to any joke.

      Mayor,

Good point. You’re on record for wanting to get rid of Coach Richt. Does your point above play into that feeling?

I don’t really want to get rid of CMR although I did get seriously pissed at him after several bonehead coaching decisions actually cost the Dawgs wins last year. I want CMR to do better. If he can’t make good decisions during games for crying out loud hire someone who can. I never called for his dismissal during of after the 2009 season, though.
