I’m a sucker for a well-executed trick play and this Statue of Liberty play from last night’s CFA Bowl was about as perfectly pulled off as you could ask. (Notice the fake by the wide receiver on the far side.) What makes that even more impressive is that it was run by a backup quarterback.
Well played, gentlemen.
Gus pulled out the kitchen sink, and it was a fun game to watch. Virginia’s defense got tired early. Too much Atlanta partying.
I have to admit, that really was an entertaining game. Before the game I didn’t think Auburn had a chance. I thought Vandy had a better shot of beating Cincy. Oh well.
And in other developments… the humiliation of the ACC continues…heh.
Mixed emotions about Vandy. While I am not a fan of Franklin, You want the SEC to win out in bowl season. Still what does it say that the co-champion of the Big LEast struggles with the number 9 SEC team.
For the record, I was cheering for Oregon. One can only stomach so much in the name of confference loyalty.
Gus said, “Shut Up!”
