One more advocate for “SEC – Year of the Quarterback”:
Danielson on SEC 2012,'We'll see a different SEC. High level defenses will have more problems with the QB's this yr.'—
Paul Finebaum (@finebaum) May 04, 2012
We’re just a Tony Barnhart post away from it becoming official.
Breakfast snark, love it!
Everybody except for Aladamnbama will.
Are the QBs really that good? I’m not sold on Murray, Bray, etc. being elite QBs, but I’m positive there are some tough defenses in the conference.
although the sec has been defense oriented it’s not like we haven’t had our share of good college qbs all playing @ the same time. I remember in 07 when we had Stafford, Dixon from Kentucky who had a streak of completions or attempts w/o a pick, Tebow, and Ainge at UT.
Well, I mean to say, compared to LAST year it almost has to be an improvement in QB overall. How many teams had a returning starting quarterback who started every SEC game? OIC, just UGA!
How many teams’ opening game starter made every game? UGA, Arky, Bama…
A few injuries and we’ll be right back to frankly wondering why some of these teams don’t just run the option or wildcat every play.
The SEC QB talk is completely off-kilter. None of the QBs listed on the Heisman this year have shown they can or can’t be the best college football player in America. The attempts to early hyping of this prestigious award should be totally disregarded. The best seems to make it’s way to the top and you have no earthly idea who should be on that list until the Mumme Poll rankings start.
The Heisman Mumme poll? Nah. Someone will ask how a dead guy can vote.
Let’s see: The AJC and Tony Barnhart snark-quested on the same day? Nothing like starting the weekend with a hardon, Senator.
But we are bored and miss football.
Can’t we talk about it a little bit?
Well, Florida no longer has Weis or Brantley, so that has to be an improvement for at least one team.
Surely we can blame Bobo for this?
