From a timing standpoint, this tune seems appropriate – Whiskeytown’s great “16 Days”.
I love when that song kicks into the “old tin cups” part.

Hell yes, Whiskeytown is outstanding!
Also a fan of a lot of Ryan Adams solo stuff (Jacksonville City Night, Gold, Cold Roses) even though I know he can be a jerk and is easy to dislike.
Ryan Adams is a douchebag… Seriously. He is
Agree completely.
He’s also made some great albums.
Agreed. On both accounts.
Pre-hair gel Ryan Adams is good stuff.

Its a good day when my favorite blog blends with one of my favorite artists. (Sigur Ros and Count Basie being two others…yea, I’m weird).
Sure Ryan Adams is a dick, but hey, he wrote a song called Tennessee Sucks. And it ain’t that bad:

I think it is required tailgate music every year for the Vols.
And at the risk of being presumptuous, I request this song as the musical palate cleanser the week of the Vols.
