When Nick Saban has time for shit like this.
Alabama coach Nick Saban admonished Crimson Tide fans Thursday night for not selling out Saturday’s game against Western Kentucky.
The Alabama ticket office announced Thursday afternoon that fewer than 1,000 tickets remain for the game, which is in Tuscaloosa.
Speaking on his weekly hour-long radio show, Saban said, “A thousand tickets? I’ll buy them and give them away. We can’t sell out with all the games we’ve won?”
Ripping the media and the fans in the same week? Next thing you know, we’ll be calling Saban Mr. Small Stuff.
When a team that drew 90,000+ for a SPRING GAME doesn’t sell out, that says something.
The spring game was a sellout (or close) because Bama’s second string is a better opponent than W Ky. Are you listening, AD’s?
Winning two national championships in four years or whatever it is gives you remarkable freedom in what you say and who you rip.
Mr. Small Stuff indeed.
Now this one I agree with. You go Nck!
He’s almost as fussy as our man Neil (Hondo) Williamson is, about fans leaving games early.
The tide is rolling in and ruining his sand castle.
Unfortunately it ain’t a sand castle he has built, but a pretty durn impressive program.
I blame McGarity
Welcome to FSU in the 90s
Sooo, uhhh… Bammer has a player named HaHa Clinton-Dix, huh? That one goes firmly in the “you can’t make this stuff up” column.
To be fair, these were unsold tickets that Western Kentucky sent back. It will be a sellout by gametime.
He has got a decent point. In 09 and 08, Bama played an outstanding quality opponent to start the season off and then slopped around the next week against an inferior team.
I think it’s time ol’ Nick made a trip to WKU and gave them a talking to on buying tickets to his games.
Saban has lost control of WKU?
