Pay no attention to that organization counting the money.

Shorter John Infante:  until the people running the BCS decide they want to usurp the NCAA’s responsibilities, the NCAA has nothing to worry about.

NCAA wouldn’t have to change many letters on their sign to rename itself NAIA.

NCAA, your days are numbered. Serves you right, too.

I don’t see the BCS stealing football from the NCAA. All the other sports give the NCAA too much leverage to let just football break-away. The BCS is just about the money, not the compliance and governance. Kind of like how the PGA Tour lives along with the USGA.

Aussie, your premise very well may be right but you picked a bad example to support your premise. The Tour and the USGA may split on this long putter thing. A bunch of Tour players are PO’d about the upcoming USGA anchoring ban and may sue over it. After all, the long putter has been around for 30 years and there are guys on the Tour who grew up never putting with anything else. The Tour doesn’t want to get caught in the middle or possibly be a co-defendant. Time will tell but the USGA may have bitten off more than it can chew this time. It would serve them right, too. The USGA is as high-handed as the NCAA.
