Adios for a couple of days

I’m heading out the door to go to the Amelia Island Concours, so posting will be light to non-existent for the next couple of days.  Try not to tear the place up too much while I’m gone.

    I guess its just us and the Green Housewives. Senator, you should get a regular place down in Amelia; I don’t think their real estate prices have recovered.

    Deeply jealous. I ended up on Amelia for the weekend of the Concours about ten years ago by dumb luck. Top 5 lifetime car experience. I literally was in disbelief at some of what I saw.

      Similarly, by dumb luck also, I ended up at the Concours at Pebble Beach about 10 years ago. Also a top 5 lifetime car experience. Everybody who likes cars should go to one of these at least once.

    I’m running the Gate River tomorrow and planning a trip to the Concours afterwards. I’ll look out for you. Will you be wearing the “COLLEGE” sweatshirt?

    All this drinkin’ talk got to you, didn’t it? Heh, heh, heh. Jus foolin’ and have fun.

    You will probably have family and kids with you. A meeting or just a break? Either way, I’ll be joining you on the party scene beginning around 3PM tomorrow. It’s an old fart’s Spring Break with the Amnesian being designated driver which suits me fine. And, yeah AHD, she makes some fine lumpia and chicken adobo.

    Got my Newcastles and oysters in the shell, but where the hell did I put those two boxes of browny mix? Lot of old farts wil be there who like them.

    Yall smoke’em if you got’em.

      Forgot: STAY OUT OF THE WATER. That large shark migration was close to shore near Palm beach yesterday on the way to N.C.. Figure they will come by you this weekend.

      Lucky guy . I haven’t eaten like that since my days with Lang Engineering in Ferkessédougou. Jose Dando was an engineer from the Phillipines and we always had the big poker game on Saturday nights where he would cook up a feast.

        Did you see the feast cooked for the first Iditarod racer to reach a small town in Alaska? They flew in a Filipino chef from Anchorage to do the honors.

    I believe Bluto is a Porsche 911 Carrera a fan. I hope he gets a chance to see the new 911 GT3. They share the same engine……but after that it is GT3 all the way. This is now my favorite Porsche.
