Stylin’ on the Flats

A reader alerted me to this hot shirt [Ed. note:  link has been changed.],  no doubt soon to become a collector’s item, that you can buy from the Georgia Tech Bookstore:

At least those of us who graduated from Athens recognize the correct name of our school.  Maybe they figure if it says it twice, we’ll be more impressed.

If these were cheaper, I’d suggest Dawg fans buy ‘em up to wear to the game at BDS this year.  Wouldn’t that be amusing to explain to the Tech fan sitting next to you…

    Nerdy fish in a barrel.

  2. Russ

Direct from the Office of Redundancy Department, I guess.

  3. Just Chuck (The Other One)

If you must purchase something with their logo to take to the game, the bandage tin might be a better choice. It’s cheaper than the shirt and you could hand out bandages to their fans once they finish slashing their wrists after the game.

    Oops.

  5. Assuming this shirt would be too easy:

    G.eorgia
    N.orth
    A.venue
    T.rade
    S.chool

  6. Mayor of Dawgtown

Absolutely moronic. For people who think they are so damn smart the Techsters sure do a lot of stupid things.

  7. NRBQ

    Ease up there, Mayor.

At least they correctly spelled all those words…

  8. Normaltown Mike

Now I kinda want a “University of UGA” shirt for myself.

  9. DGD

I wonder if Lou Holtz designed that shirt. As spoken with loose dentures.. “Listen, the Georgia Tech Institute of Techology and the University of Auburn University….”

  10. Irishdawg

It’s still better than those stupid honeycomb uniforms they wear sometimes.

  11. PTC DAWG

A person needs two of those, one to crap on, the other to cover it up with.

  12. 81Dog

the only thing that could make that shirt better? “Georgia Tech UNIVERSITY Institute of Technology.” Marbury representin’, nerds!

  13. Obviously, there was a translation error between English and Hindi, or Chinese

A little off topic here, but whenever I hear about Tech doing something to bolster the state of their football program it evokes the same sentiments as when I see a fat guy riding a bike. I just want to say, “Good for you, man. Good for you.”………And back to work I go.

  15. Dolly Llama

It’s just so damn geeky and stupid even without the mistake on it.
I mean, what would someone sporting such a shirt tell you if you asked him about it?
    “It’s from the periodic table, see? Get it? Neh-he, neh-he, neh-he …”
    Where do you start?

Now the link sends you to a different shirt.
