My SEC Power Poll ballot, Week 10

All favorites and no upsets make this week’s ballot a dull boy.

1. Alabama.  Here’s a measure of the size of the gap between Alabama and the rest of the conference:  the Tide opens as an 11-point favorite over LSU.
2. Missouri.  Made South Carolina’s loss to Tennessee look even worse than it already was.
3. Auburn.  Even after dispatching the Hogs, Auburn remains in the red in net yardage in conference play.
4. LSU.  Two three-point road losses is what’s standing between the Tigers and contention in the West.  (And upcoming games against Alabama and Texas A&M.)
5. Texas A&M.  Number one in offense, number fourteen in defense means things are never dull when you watch the Aggies.
6. South Carolina.  12 first downs, 34 points.  That’s what going +5 in turnover margin at home gets you.
7. Georgia.  Will Muschamp has lost control of Mark Richt.
8. Mississippi.  This ballot’s bye week bounce winner.
9. Florida.  The Gators are now last in the conference in scoring.  I take this opportunity to remind you that Brent Pease got a raise in the offseason.
10. Vanderbilt.  If the Commodores can’t take down Florida this week, they may never do it.
11. Tennessee.  The Vols’ lack of team speed is killing them.
12. Mississippi State.  With TAMU, Alabama and Ole Miss left on the schedule, bowl eligibility is starting to look like a stretch.
13. Arkansas.  These guys are turning the bottom of the ballot into a real fight.
14. Kentucky.  Well, at least we know the Wildcats could rip through the SWAC.
