l’defense, c’est moi.

Hey, assholes, you think Nick Saban’s got selfishly ulterior motives pushing that 10-second substitution rule?  Well, screw you – he’s got proof he doesn’t.  His proof is Nick Saban.

“For all of you out there that know what I’m thinking and the fact that I’m trying to create an advantage for the defense, I’m not trying to create an advantage for the defense,” Saban said Wednesday in a meeting with local reporters. “I don’t even think we need an advantage. Why do we need an advantage? If you look at the statistics, we’ve been playing better than most.”

For a guy coming off two losses to teams running HUNH where his defense gave up an average of 40 points per game, that’s pretty damned awesome.

Just for comparison, Four Corners Dean Smith said he was against a shot clock in college basketball because ‘we have a better game than the pros.’ He did admit that it would help more talented teams like his.

  2. Always Someone Else's Fault

It was 34 per game against the defense, wasn’t it?

There’s a crack in the armor. A loss to Les, Gus and just one upset and things could explode in Tusky. Please oh please let Kiffy be blamed for some of the problems if this happens.

Sounds like the offensive guys aren’t the only ones who see their livelihood on the line.

And man, Saban’s hitting that more-plays-means-more-injuries-DUH argument hard. Second consecutive interview. A cynic might say that Nick Saban isn’t used to being second-guessed. And that he may react strongly to being treated like a regular schmuck.

Mark Richt has lost control of Nick.

How wonderful that we have a principal that is still so concerned for his students that graduated 3 years ago and took the time to reach out to them. Gods blessing to the Goodgame family and all those who knew Michael. http://num.to/81-78-71-43-41-53

Bobo says: “l’offense, it be our’n.”
