Love is a many weekly thing.

Of all the reasons in the world to have the playoff selection committee release results weekly, this is one of them.

Notice Delany doesn’t say whose affection he’s competing for.  But you know, right?

Honestly, fellas, there are times when you make it really hard for me to care about your sport.

“Several Pac-12 coaches took aim at the SEC during their spring teleconference Thursday, criticizing the league’s decision to stick with an eight-game conference schedule that they believe could disrupt the equity of the selection process as the sport moves into the College Football Playoff era.

“I’ve been saying this for three years now: I think if we’re going to go into a playoff and feed into one playoff system, we all need to play by the same rules,” said Stanford coach David Shaw, whose team has played in four straight BCS bowl games, including three in his tenure. “Play your conference. Don’t back down from playing your own conference. It’s one thing to back down from playing somebody else. But don’t back down from playing your own conference.”

I agree with standardizing rules across D1, let’s start with testing and punishment procedures for all schools. I know some PAC12 schools don’t even test for marijuana and do any have a zero tolerance policy for both drinking and alcohol violations? Beyond that, I feel nine conference games for the 5 Power conferences is a fair point but does the SEC championship count as a 9th? So is that 10? We need help with getting more quality games since our own AD doesn’t support the idea, he and Alleva are back pedaling as fast as they can.
