This week in concern trolling

First, Chip Towers, then Jeff Schultz – the AJ-C is upset that Todd Worley Gurley is acting like a college kid.

OK, Todd Gurley skateboarding down Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles isn’t on the same level as him diving through a ring of fire. But you can understand why when the Georgia running back posted video of himself on Instagram skateboarding down the sidewalk along a major street with cars going by, and a picture of himself sitting on a balcony ledge – it was difficult to tell how high the drop-off was – some Georgia fans might have been rattled. Gurley and a strong running game represent the Bulldogs’ best hope for a strong season, especially with an inexperienced quarterback. At the very least, I’m guessing coach Mark Richt will say something to Gurley about what he posts on social media.

“… a picture of himself sitting on a balcony ledge” has some Georgia fans rattled?  Hey, we’re a pretty tough bunch.  If we could survive this - better than the AJ-C did, by the way - I think we can handle balcony ledges.  I bet Mark Richt can, too.

Perhaps the Senator had Tim Worley on the brain?

    • Sometimes my typing fingers have a mind of their own. Thanks for the catch.

that was a fun one – hadn’t thought of the Worley/Hampton/Tate days in a long time.

Just an opinion, but Tim Worley is the most gifted runner we’ve had since Herschel. Gurley may change my mind, but I’d pick Worley first, over Moreno, Hampton, Hearst, etc.

I dunno. Hearst was pretty damn good. All-Pro and Pro Bowl. Doak Walker Award Winner. SEC Player of the Year. All-America. Third in voting for the 1992 Heisman. With him the Dawgs were 10-2. Without him the next season they were 5-6.

Amazingly, I didn’t think that was the worst click-bait they had last week – mid-week, they had a link on the homepage to “Uggla Trade”, which led to one of those pictorials that was headlined, “Five Uggla Trades That WON’T Happen”… Pathetic…
But back to Gurley, those who are most upset about his “lack of professionalism” in this instance are probably the same ones who,are no doubt so opposed to paying players or allowing them to join a union…

Hell, I heard he was near a lot of water and he can’t swim. Just as long as we don’t get poolside photos of him with a bunch of Pacific Coast babes and the AJC gets nervous over wetness.

The backlash against him on instagarm was hilarious. My kid saw the video and was hoping to see Gurley at one of the skateparks he frequents. But it didn’t happen. #skatelife

Been there, done that, got the tee shirt. My son was the star of 9-10 Dixie Youth, and broke his wrist on a skateboard right before all stars. Boys will be boys.

Skateboarding is great for his balance. Try surfing as well. Less road rash when you fall.

Matt had a good taste in ladies at an early age.
