as Sidney Rice has declared his intention to turn pro, much to the chagrin of his coach:
… Spurrier was “disappointed and wished [Rice] would’ve stayed around another year,” spokesman Steve Fink said.
Wow, it looks like Paul Oliver’s decision to come back next season is already having an impact on opposing receivers. Next to go: Calvin Johnson.
If there are two things that Spurrier can develop it’s quarterbacks and receivers. Lots of the “great” WRs at UF were guys who improved themselves or developed over time.
And Blake Mitchell went from being one of the worst QBs in the SEC at the beginning of the year to one of the best after his benching. Only Andre Woodson and maybe Russell were playing better at the end.
