Brannan Southerland and Brandon Wood are out for spring practice. And it looks like Tripp Taylor is out, period.
While on the topic of Georgia spring football, Tom Dienhart, of all people, raises an interesting question (albeit not directly): who the heck is going to kickoff at the G-Day game?
Wasn’t Blair Walsh an early enrollee?

I don’t think so. I think there are five that enrolled in January: Jones, Hebron, Samuel, King and D. Jackson.

They don’t kickoff on G-day they do punt though 🙂

Yeah, you’re right Senator. I stand corrected.

True, no kickoffs on G day. Too risky for injuries.

You guys are awfully literal minded today.
What about extra points and field goals?

What about Mimbs or Butler? Mimbs was was 3rd on the depth chart for Kickoffs. He has handled some kickoffs before, when Coutu was injured (onside kick in Peach bowl was a beaut). Now field goals and PAT’s I’m not so sure about. However Butler’s got some pedigree when it comes to that sort of thing so why not give him a shot.

Butler kicked FGs in high school. Since the job is practically Walsh’s anyway, what difference does it make. If anything it might help us get someone lined up in case Blair has a meltdown like Andy.
