What’s the over/under on Celebration questions in Gainesville this week?
Filed under Gators, Gators..., Georgia Football
I would say somewhere in the low thousands. But that’s because you narrowed it to just inside Gainesville.
To mark Richt alone, tongue in cheek i would say the possibility for celebration questions is infinite; realistically i would say the over/under is 100.
What’s the over/under on the number of times Urban gets pissy and whiny when asked about the celebration?
I hope UF focuses on the Celebration this week and getting even for last year. I think one of the best things for this week is for them to try to win last year’s game. The whole thing worked b/c know the Dawgs are in their head instead of them being in ours.
“Florida quarterback Tim Tebow . . . hinted that Florida fans were going to see something next weekend they had never seen before.”
“‘The seniors came up with something new — something we’ve never done before,’ Gamble said, while declining to provide specifics to reporters.”
Assuming CMR and Coach Meyer are too classy/intelligent to try to out-gimmick each other this weekend, we could be in for something real interesting this Saturday.
I agree with the other Ben and what the Senator has been saying all along — all other things aside, we’re definitely the ones in their head this year. I’m sure that gave UF the edge in plenty of scrapes with us over the past two decades or so; let’s hope it goes in our favor if this one gets close. However, I think Schlabach’s last comment is the most insicive (in reference to “doing something new”):
“Actually beating the Gators two years in a row — a feat the Bulldogs haven’t accomplished since 1988-89 — would certainly seem unique.”
So let’s revisit the question of who would be most improved this year–our defense or your offense. j
You dawgs want to make a case for your offense?
Honestly, Ace, I’d pick your special teams for most improved unit of either team. That was an awesome display yesterday.
No Ace, I’d like to point out again how sick most of the country is of Urban’s act. He is a snake oil salesman disguised as a coach if there ever was one. Really, how big of a douche-bag do you have to be to refer to yourself in third person in your on autobiography?
It depends on whether Terrence Moore is the only writer for the AJC this week. If he is, low thousands minimum.

Let’s hope so because it sure as hell backfired against Bama. They came in focused and determined to win. It’d be nice if we repeat that against the gaytors, but add in an additional caveat…. try stopping the run again and maybe not allowing 500 yards of offense maybe??? Gaytors will beat us handily with that yardage & we will lose a shoot-out again. Not cool Willie.
As much as this kills me to say this, watching Nick Satan still pound the rock getting that last 1st down to tun out the clock is something I’d like to see rather than taking a knee with 2:23 left to go & having to give the ball back to a team that proved several times they were capable of breaking a long run for a td against our tired D. Ugh.
So let’s revisit the question of who would be most improved this year–our defense or your offense.
Something tells me we’ll get the answer to that question Saturday. But be proud Ace. You defense has improved considerably. Although it’s not like it took a whole lot to improve on last years defense.
I expect this out of Florida, anything else will be underrated.
