Well, it looks as if the money boys were faced with Georgia Tech-Georgia again this week, they’d still lay their bets on the Dawgs to win.

Georgia didn’t even drop in their rankings this week.  Neither did Missouri.  LSU and South Carolina finally left the building, though.

They’ve got the SECCG much closer than the official line, interestingly enough, as they project Florida to be a 4.5 point favorite over ‘Bama.

If the Dawgs wind up in the Cap One against Michigan State, these numbers suggest they’d be about a five point favorite.  Don’t everyone pull his/her wallet out at once…

After watching the game, I’d lay my bets on the Dawgs too. We’d still play like crap on defense, but I’d think we have less to fix on ours than they do. That one was right up there with the Kevin Ramsey versus Joe Hamilton bowl. Before Quincy realized he could throw five picks in one game.

Agree kckd, I think UGA is a better team and would win about 8 of every ten games they played. Dawgs gave one away, congrats to GT but one game doesn’t always indicate the better team. Doesn’t matter because there is no going back now, but the Vegas boys are right about how the two teams should be ranked for a theoretical rematch. Too many mistakes by UGA, and a ten minute meltdown, was the difference in the game not being a comfortable win. It happens to someone every Saturday, this happened to be our time in the box. Our other two losses were to teams who are better this year.

Let’s just call it the Willie Vanilli game. Didn’t rain a drop in the third quarter and we lost it 26-0, rained the rest of the game that we outscored them 42-19. BLAME IT ON THE RAIN.

Makes sense to me: Tech was probably as motivated to play UGA as they’ve been against anyone all season, and more than they could ever hope to be in the bowl game… and they won by 3. Our defense, meanwhile, has crapped the bed around half the time this year, and I think it has less to do with who we play than just random chance. So in other words, their best vs. our worst is a 3 point win.
