All I want for Christmas…

is a healthy offensive line.

Man, I’m jealous watching the Florida and Alabama o-lines.

Totally agreed, Senator. Both Florida and Bama’s OL were dominating. Heck of a game until the 4th quarter.

All I want for Christmas is:

…a defense that wraps up the ball-carrier.

    …an interception by a cornerback.

…another year from Stafford and Moreno.

…a W in the bowl game.

    …and a partridge in a pear tree.

GATA Dawgs! –whoever they may be.

sickening…just sickening…next years gonna be a looooooong year is we dont get a hard-ass DC…read the AJC i think theres something about comparing the 08 defence to ERK’s 74 pre-junkyard D. as far as im concerned the 08 D is much much worse because of one thing…the 2008 offence

    1974 recored 6-6
    2008 record 9-3

    2008 offensive stars…Knowshon,Massaquoi,Staff,AJ,Southerland,Chappy

1974 offense…?….?…? who was the QB? any running backs other than Horace King and Glynn Harrison? Was Richard appelby playing TE yet?

bottom line…OUR OFFENCE HAS SAVED THIS SEASON FROM 6-6 OR WORSE

    Agreed.

Erk was actually a very nice person who could coach players way above their talent. I remember him being nice to us regular students and still being able to motivate the defense to be junk yard dogs.

He would say hi to us as we all worked out at the player fields. Those days are gone.

Urban trying to get one last score with a minute and a half to go and not taking a knee……..always classy. Karma is a bitch and he is pissing on way too many people.

    Doc:

Give me a break. In case you didn’t notice, Bama had timeouts left. We took a knee when we could.

Man, Bama was scary. Mid-third quarter, I thought they had us beat. They will be scary good next year.

This is another example of it all goes back to coaching. We have consistantly recruited the same caliber of players as Oklahoma, UF, and Bama. Most of our recruites were offered by our rivals but for some reason our talent rarely lives up to expectations as a team. We have a few pan out and way too many busts considering we bring in 20-25 players per year. Saban and Meyer have won with other coaches players when they couldn’t. I can’t stand either one but you can’t have your cake and eat it too. Nice guys don’t win NC, it looks like you have to be an arrogant jerk.

It all boils down to discipline and you usually get it with fear. Not one player on the UGA team is afraid of CMR. Bobby Bowdens only reservation about CMR was he wasn’t sure CMR was mean enough to be a HC. He’s a good coach and I like him a lot but we better be ready for 9-4 or 10-3 seasons and getting beat by UF for a long time. Nebraska is right in coaching these days the jerks rule the world. Mac Brown not withstanding.
