The party starts now.

I hope Santa left the Hawai’i football team a big ole lump of coal in its stocking after that game last night.  The Warriors looked positively disinterested in playing.

For Notre Dame, it’s the first bowl win in dog’s years.  And you know what that means.

“I’m very happy for Notre Dame. This was a great step forward for us,” Weis said. “It leads us into 2009 with a good taste in our mouth.”

My bet is that there are enough coaches/media members out there with short memories to vault Notre Dame into next year’s preseason Top 25.   Merry Christmas to all!

  1. That win was a total fraud. Notre Dame successfully beat a team that barely qualifies as mediocre. Any SEC team would have torched this Irish squad. ANY TEAM. (Well, except maybe for Mississippi State.)

  2. Maybe one of us Georgia fans can educate the Domers as to exactly how much momentum a big bowl win over Hawaii gives you going into next season.

Hawaii lost to Utah State, who was… wait for it… 3-9.
