Kiffin watch: let’s give ’em something to talk about.

Mike Hamilton, UT Athletic Director, on that guy running his football program:

“I think that we’re going through this window in time where (Kiffin) is getting more attention than he probably wanted. But at the same time Tennessee football is being talked about and that’s not all a bad thing.”

Again, when did this inferiority complex strike the Vol program?  Why are these folks so needy for attention all of a sudden?

If Junior doesn’t work out, and it’s being talked about that UT craves, here’s my suggestion for his successor.

Wouldn’t that get everyone’s attention!  “Tennessee joins the Axis of Evil” – now there’s some golden publicity.  And you’ve got to figure that Kim Jong-il has been itching to get into American college football ever since he saw this.

Iran’s leader (addinajah….whatever) as OC & Hugo Chavez as DC.

  2. Hamilton’s comment doesn’t even make any sense. Kiffin went out accusing a rival SEC coach of recruiting violations, but he didn’t expect (or want) to get any attention from that? So he’s just accidentally getting all this attention, but it’s a good thing because people are talking about UT football now? So was this part of the plan all along, or wasn’t it?

I’m with you, Senator — this all sounds kind of desperate coming from what’s supposed to be a name-brand program. whole “At least people are paying attention to us now” sounds like something South Carolina fans would say, not something you’d hear from a program that won a national title just a little over a decade ago.

    • The whole thing’s been bi-polar from the beginning. If Junior insists he’s done and said everything purposefully, why has he felt the need to apologize to anyone about anything?

Mike Hamilton has been sending out feelers to MAC schools for over a month now. He is simply going to want to hide out for a few years after this tire fire.

  4. The Realist

It’s good to see that Radio has made a career out of his love for football.

  5. Ubiquitous GA Alum

UGA had around 70 media types and a rep from every single NFL team in Athens yesterday to see Stafford, Knowshon and all the other senior Dawgs in a glorified punt, pass & kick competition.

In contrast, Lame makes wild accusations to boosters over eggs and OJ.

I’ll take the CMR way everyday!
