Wednesday morning buffet

Eat, read and be merry.

  • When it comes to preserving Diddy’s career wins total, you can’t worry about little things like a budget crisis.
  • Mitch Mustain is now the #3 quarterback on the USC roster, behind a true freshman.  Pete Carroll may think he’s going to “continue to battle his way up”, but I suspect momma’s got other plans.
  • Gentlemen, your criteria suck.
  • This is a disturbing trend that I hope the NCAA cracks down on somehow.  Seriously.
  • We always thought they were math-challenged in Knoxville, so this isn’t too surprising.
  • Arizona State has a 6 foot 8 inch true freshman quarterback?
  • If you’re gonna diss Matt Stafford, at least get your facts straight (see first comment).

Perhaps Springdale needs it own 4yr college with a football program in order to ensure their kids are treated properly. At least they don’t have to deal with that Nutt anymore, unless you count the annual beat down the SEC mandates.

knoxville… it is starting to feel like picking on the short bus riders. can’t wait for the “Vandy is our real rival” statements to start.

Even the bean counters in obKnoxville are getting in on Lame Kiffin’s Machiavellian plan — just get your name in the press baby!

The freep writers have it in for Stafford.

Detroit has two first round selections. They can address LT at #20 with Oher (potentially) and still get their qb at #1 with Stafford. If they take LT Jason Smith at #1, who are they getting at #20? Josh Freeman? I humbly submit that the difference between Stafford and Freeman is far greater than the difference between Oher and Smith.

To me, Freeman has bust written all over him. He’s the typical “measurables” guy. He’s not a winner (his teams went 5-7 each of the last two years), and his stats are not eye-popping (58.6% comp, 2945 yards, 20/8 TD/INT last year). Actually, that completion percentage is buoyed by four games in which he completed 75% or more versus North Texas, Montana State, Louisiana-Lafayette, and Texas A&M (how far have the Aggies fallen to be included with this group?). He didn’t complete 60% of his passes in any of the other eight games of the season, including 3 sub-50% games against notable defenses Texas Tech, Colorado, and Nebraska. But, he’s 6’6″ 250, which, apparently makes you a first rounder.

Actually, this makes perfect sense for Detroit.

Sen to which comment on the article a/b Stafford are you referring? The “oldest” comment is what i would think you meant by “first” comment, but that was a/b drafting Jason Smith as a safer pick. I guess i missed the comment you’re referencing.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  5. How is Pat White’s number not getting retired? He will go down as the best football player to have ever attended West Virginia (or at least the most decorated). He led the team during its best run in school history. What does the guy have to do?

They should induct Pat White solely based upon his awesome mockery of the Pitt video board going “RAWR”.
