Casey Clausen thinks Chase Rettig could beat Georgia with one arm.

Some blog posts write their own headers, don’t they?

In other recruiting news, despite going on the trail with limos and reversed ball caps, Auburn’s a little behind their rivals.

… while Chizik’s staff has been aggressive about recruiting in its first summer together, the commitments have come more sparingly.

Auburn has eight players in its 2010 signing class after defensive back Jonathan Mincy of Decatur, Ga., committed two weeks ago.

The trend toward early commitments has been fueled by football powers eager to lock up top prospects before the season. Already, Texas has 19 commitments while cross-state rival Alabama has 16. LSU, Oklahoma and Florida have 15 each, and Georgia has 13, according to Rivals.com.

Georgia Tech (eight) and Mississippi State (six) have numbers similar to Auburn’s.

Recruits, Trooper may be a gas to talk to, but in the end, you’re still gonna be ballin’ for a guy who went 5-19 at Iowa State.

I would add “and who likely won’t be the head coach for your senior year”.

I guess that little secondary violation for the “recruit party” hadn’t paid off.

So Tommy Tuberville wins 5 in in one season and gets fired.
Gene Chizik wins 5 in his whole career and gets hired.

It is good to see Auburn back to being Auburn.
