Yes, that does appear to be a mouthpiece dislodged piece of equipment obscuring the ‘seven’ on Fannin’s jersey.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
I believe that’s an earpad or whatever you call it. If that’s coming off the helmet then you know it’s a big hit.

The last time a Georgia player hit someone like that, he drew an unnecessary roughness call.

That is an earpad. Wow.
I guess most commenters never have played a down of football in their lives.

Did anyone hear the announcer on ESPN 2 say that Georgia had the ball on the 53 yard line? It wasn’t Bob Davie, he was too busy talking about how great a coach Martinez is.

Heh….yeah, I heard that 53 yard line comment, it was great! I guess I do have a lot to learn about football, because I’m not sure exactly where that is…..

it’s between the 52 and the 54 yard lines, I’m guessing. Maybe someone should ask Coach Richt on the call in show.

Watched the replay this morning – the announcers couldn’t have been less enthusiastic during the game. Mark Jones in particular sounded like he was mailing it in the whole game. And this was a pretty exciting game. I hope we don’t get them next week for the Kentucky game, but I have a feeling we will.

Mark Jones and Bob Davie are calling the Georgia-Kentucky game.
Bob Davie……..is still……..part of the coaching fraternity……..and rarely……..criticizes……..his former peers.
Mark Jones often gets sidetracked from play by play, trying to make social statements like how much money the assistant coaches make.
Y’all come to the game so you don’t have to listen to these guys.
