Denzel McCoy has already learned how to work the excuse game.

Paul Johnson’s “Georgia hasn’t done anything since 1980” message doesn’t seem to be resonating with his troops.
“I talked to a couple of them I know,” McCoy said. “But you could just tell from their expressions they were upset. It was a hard loss, especially for the seniors because they’re not going to get a chance to play Georgia again. A lot of guys are down about it.”
Said Bostic: “Nobody was in the mood to talk. You could see it on everybody’s faces. Everybody was down and out.”
Get used to it, fellas. This is Georgia Tech football you’re talking about, after all.
Get The Picture 
The uncalled penalty is the first and weakest refuge of the loser. A zebra can justifiably throw a flag, or not, on each and every play from scrimmage.

Well, back in 78 we did have to knock Eddie Lee Ivery out twice before he’d stay down. But golly they had a 20-0 lead at the time.
That game made Buck Belue; a 4th down TD pass with a guy hanging on his ankle.

I wonder if McCoy is referring to all the cheap, dangerous assortment of clips and chops that Gtu’s midget offensive line employs in order to compete?
Sadly, McCoy will probably suffer a severe ankle or knee injury at practice from one of those cuts at practice during his time at Gtu.

Someone should explain the Tech tradition of the Golden Sombrero to him, like maybe Keith Brooking, or any of the other members of one of the many classes to go 0-4 against UGA during his tenure at GTU.
While this year’s GTU seniors blew their chance at a Golden Sombrero last year, they were at least able to rally this year to clich a losing record against UGA, putting them in very fine (and quite numerous) company among Tech seniors the last 40 odd years. Way to go, you jolly good fellows!
Isn’t it about time for the Mini-Skipper to have another testy little presser about how getting his doughy little ass handed to him is really no big deal? Enjoy your visit to the World’s Smallest Outdoor Cocktail Party, nerds. There will probably be more people at your Student Center watching the next Harry Potter marathon on USA than there will be fans in the seats at Tampa.

I love the World’s Smallest Outdoor Cocktail Party line. I had a tech-friend semi-taunt me by wishing us luck in our game this weekend. I told him there would be more people at the Christmas party I’m going to Saturday night than at the WSOCP.

Based on what has happened this season I believe almost every Dawg fan is looking for obvious blown calls in every game involving the UGA team. I know I am. I didn’t see any in the Tech-UGA game and I was looking for bad calls both ways. Were there some missed calls? Probably, just as there are in every game, but it seemed they went both ways and there certainly was not anything that looked like an attempt to manipulate the outcome of the game. I cannot say the same for certain SEC games this season involving the Gators and Bama, each of which could very well have lost at least one game if not for help from the SEC refs, intentional or not (not to mention the UGA-LSU fiasco). Bottom line–the nerds have no legit grip about bad calls. That is just Tech BS.
