Apparently, you can be a little bit pregnant.
… Florida coach Urban Meyer is currently taking a required medical leave of absence but will apparently help with the hiring of a new defensive coordinator from afar, according to Foley. Foley told The Miami Herald on Saturday that Meyer will speak to Adazzio over the phone about the defensive coordinator position but Addazio will coordinate the hiring.
That’s some leave of absence.
Wow, I thought this was going to be a post about the alleged affair he was having that was rumored around the same time Kiffin headed west from Knoxville.

I was sure the control freak would be involved. If he really has a medical problem he will learn to pull back. If he doesn’t pull back, then it never was that big of a problem.

How in the world do Meyer and UF avoid the media chorus about instability that UGA and Mark “Hot Seat” Richt endure?

Urban reassigns the defensive coordinator recon patrol detail and orders Addazio to walk point. After Urban is out of sight, Addazio determines that he is not going to walk point just to get his ass shot at or blown up by an IED and calls in support but still finds the duty to be somewhat tougher than he expected,
In the meantime the recon detail reassignment frees up Urban so that on this next ‘required’ medical LOA he can spend more time at Shands to recon how this is done by Jamie and the man hands chick…

For those 20 year olds to believe they can run through walls, they must have absolute faith in the stability of the organization coaching them, and that has to come from the top down. These antics reminds me of the Florida football we knew and loved before 1990. It can only bode well for us.

Meyer does not handle stress well, having had two serious incidents prior to the 2009 season. Now with four medical issues since September, he is an absolutle nut case to not step away. His dad died when he was just one year older than Meyer is now.
I do not care for Meyer as a person or coach, but someone in his family needs to intervene here. He has to be an egomaniac to think he is needed so much that he is willing to risk death, or life in a wheelchair, just to be involved. You have financial security, you have accomplished most, if not all, of your goals, spend the time with your wife and daughters.
