If loving Chris Low is wrong, I don’t want to be Andrea Adelson-right.

There’s a pundit who’s going to have egg on his or her face at the end of the year about Georgia’s quarterback.  I just hope it’s not Chris Low, who ranks the Dawgs’ combo of Murray-Green-Ealey as the third best set of offensive triplets in the SEC.

3. Georgia: QB Aaron Murray, RB Washaun Ealey, WR A.J. Green

The skinny: It might be taking a slight chance to have the Bulldogs this high when their quarterback has never taken a snap in a college game. But his top target, Green, might be the most dynamic receiver in all of college football, and Ealey was one of the SEC’s most productive running backs the final month of the season a year ago. About the time Ealey got going last season, Green was injured. Look out with both of those guys healthy.

I don’t want to sound like the proverbial Dr. Pangloss, but we have 10 starters and a lot of depth coming back on offense this year. Aaron Murray doesn’t have to be the second coming of John Elway for UGA to have a very successful offense. He just has to be solid and take care of the ball.

Load up the box to stop Ealey, King, Chapas, Munzenmaier, Thomas, etc.? Look out for Green, Troupe, Wooten, Brown, Dunham, Chandler, White, Figgins, and Lynch. You want to double AJ? Watch out for the TEs running loose. Lay back in a zone to stop the pass? Here comes the running game. If UGA can limit the TOs, our excellent punter should help the D by flipping the field when the offense stalls, and our excellent placekicker should be able to cash in 3s when the offense gets inside the opposing 40.

I’m not saying we’re going to win the national championship, but I don’t get the whole Florida loses the greatest player ever at QB (and other key offensive pieces), inserts unproven starter, doesnt miss a beat, but UGA loses a one year starter, brings back a load of talent otherwise, inserts unproven starter, proceeds to suck comparison.

Don’t sleep on UGA this year. That’s all I’m saying.

Bottom line is we’re going t0 score enough points to win the East. The question will be can we stop anybody? We’ll give up some big plays due to changing the scheme on D, but the question is whether CTG et al’s emphasis on fundamentals will help us overcome the missed assignments. We have talent on D. But can it be harnessed?

Houston and Washington are perfect fits for the 3-4. I can understand some level of doubt with the new D coaches and scheme, but they’re a big improvement over WM & Co. The D will be better. The talent is there. The question is how much better? I expect going from #38 to top 25. Top 10 should get the Dawgs in a BCS bowl – again.

I agree. Everyone wants to talk about Aaron Murray, but it’s all about the D.

81Dog- No one could have put that better. And you didn’t even mention Orson Charles as his favorite target for years and for the Fl Championship, Justin houston, Williams, Rambo, and on and on. There is going to be more than egg on a lot of pundits this year.

doggie daddy- Read story at Scout.com.

Also, everyone see Scout’s rankings of recruiting. Get the average points/ player on each team to see how we rank with the numbers evened. We are higher than 7th!! Go Big Dawgs!!
