Checking to make sure

From the AJ-C‘s Georgia Tech beat writer, here’s the question of the day:

Though the game-by-game previews I’ve compiled I have #GT at 10-1 going into the game against #UGA. Does that sound right?

Hey, at least he has the presence of mind to stop, collect himself and ask.

Well I’ve got UGA as 11-0, so that should make for a pretty good matchup. We might even get Gameday. /sarcasm

I don’t know about all of that, but Tech should still be undefeated going into Dragoncon.

Didn’t that guy used to be the Gamecocks beat writer? 😉

Tech at 10-1 prior to the UGA game? Which game could they possibly lose?

The writer forgot to mention that nesbitt would be the favorite for the heisman going into the game also. While he’s at it, he may as well dream that all yech’s home games would be sold out.

Tech being 10-1 going into the UGA game, what could possibly go wrong?

Wommack’s defensive strategy must have been to tire out Ealey and King by letting them run so far on every play. I was amazed that the run at 3:26 went for an easy TD. Even with Tech’s entire defense brought up within 6 yards of the line of scrimmage, King ran right through the whole team untouched.

    Define “right”…

That seems ambitious, but not impossible.

Seriously, there’s what? 5 games that should be competitive on their schedule? Given the probability of a turnover prone game here…

    @Va Tech

They should be favored in the rest of ’em.

Not trying to be snarky, but I don’t care. They aren’t in the SEC and haven’t been relevant since they surrendered and ran, except for one week a year. I know lots of people enjoy the 5-8 posts there are here every week, but they just aren’t important enough to warrant that much attention. They even have less impact on recruiting than 7-8 out of state schools.

It would be nice if they would step their game up and help the perception of our OOC schedule; we get little respect for that game. I would alternate them with Clemson and move them up to an earlier spot on the schedule.

Before all the attack dawgs come after me: it is just my opinion, I know it is a minority position, I respect your opinion to feel differently, and I know my thoughts will change nothing. I am an Old Fart and have lived amongst them, so I can relate to all the positions. Yes, I know how obnoxious and overbearing they can be the few times they pull the upset. Just don’t care about them, or their program.

Can’t say I disagree with any of those thoughts. I really like the rotating Tech with Clemson every year idea. That would really piss them off. Plus, neither of those teams has really been more than an afterthought for at least a decade.

I, too, would like to see us rotate series with Tech and Clemson.
