Varied, if not necessarily nutritious.
- It’s good to know that the Dawgs found something humorous about last year’s game in Knoxville, since I didn’t.
- On top of everything else, Mike Hamilton evidently has no fashion sense.
- Julio Jones overrated? Hey, I didn’t say it.
- Colorado picks up a Southern Cal refugee.
- Marc Weiszer looks at Georgia’s offensive options at tight end.
- The Big Ten decides not to freeze its collective ass off at its first championship game. Wusses.
- Belated congratulations to the 2008 Washington State Cougars, the worst team in conference play in the BCS era.
- How much is 2001 like 2010 for Mark Richt? Doug Gillett counts the ways.
AU here…Disagree on Julio Jones. Maybe overhyped (who isn’t in this day & age), but not overrated.
He has everything: size, speed, hands.

Senator, I beg to differ on Hamilton. He is merely giving the Vols what they want.
As Socrates said “know thyself”.

It is easy now to forget that a scant number of years ago Washington State University had one of the best football programs in the west. A regular contender for the PAC-10 Championship they played in the Rose Bowl in 1998 and 2003. That all changed when Bama stole their coach and then fired him without allowing him to coach even one game. I will not go into where the equities should fall about that. However, it is clear that the real losers from that episode are the faculty, students, players and fans of Washington State University. I doubt that there were very many WSU fans pulling for Bama in the BCSNC game last year and I suspect not many will be wishing the Tide success in the upcoming season, either.
