Sometimes, the simplest things are the best.

Marc Weiszer has a post up about true frosh safety Alec Ogletree (who’s looking good, by the way).  He’s spending a lot of time on special teams, about which he had this to say:

“Basically I just run to the ball,” he said of his role on kickoff coverage.

Sadly, that’s an improvement over what we saw at times last year.

    What? No bunching up of personnel right before the kickoff? (see that fateful LSU kickoff last year). Sure we can’t kick 40 yards down field aiming for a 1’x1′ area of turf? Where’s the challenge now?

      That was some bad alignment things and I was embarassed by the replays.

      That makes me more confidant of our new season because a sane coordinator wouldn’t allow that I hope.
