He’s on the mother.

The Wolf Huntley Johnson is representing Chris Rainey in his criminal stalking case.

That’s all you had to say.

I don’t care that they’re making a mockery of law and order down there in Gainesville, Florida. Any day that starts with a “Pulp Fiction” clip is a good day in my book.

Does he represent these players at reduced rates? Does he do it pro bono? Has the NCAA looked into this relationship?

+1 Good question. Does he do pro bono work for a average off the street scumbag or does he only do it for UF scumbags???
      I smell NCAA investigation (not).

This may be the reason Rainey was kick off the team, temporarily at least. I wonder if now that he is no longer on the team, representing Rainey pro bono would not be a “benefit to a player.” Once the legal work is done, then he can re-instated and its business as usual.
        Just a thought…

Attempting to maim and rob an athlete of his sight will get you a half. So, threatening to rob a woman of her life? That’s probably one game, barring any self-imposed discipline from Rainey himself.

According to the author, the good news is “the person who called the police was not a UF student” or the consequences could be a lot worse, whatever that means.

I’m sorry but to Irwin Mayer the eye gorge was only a 1 quarter suspension. The player was embarrassed by that and volunteered to sit an additional quarter.

“There is a growing perception nationally that he doesn’t have control of his players.”

Goodman obviously doesn’t read the Red & Black.

What I find hilarious about that comment is that they make it sound like Urban has great control over players, and Rainey is just making it look like he doesn’t. I’m not trying to compare UGA’s situation with player control over Florida’s.. but this reporter/commentator seems a little worried about being banned from the UF campus to me with that statement.

Irwin and Mark need to have a session with Randy –

“Do you even know how many Miami players have been arrested in nearly four years under Randy Shannon?

    One.

That might be the most remarkable stat in college football today. Departed quarterback Robert Marve pulled off a car’s side mirror. A misdemeanor. That’s the only arrest in nearly four years at Thug U.”

Do you think maybe, just maybe, it is a little easier to get arrested in Athens, Ga than in Miami, FL?

I don’t think too many Miami cops are arresting dudes for emerging from an alley.

You ever driven the highways in/around Miami? You can do 90 mph in a 60mph zone, right past Florida State Patrol, and they don’t care. Heck, most of the cops down there don’t go anywhere slower than 100mph. Usually because they’re worried about REAL crimes… you know, drug running, murder, etc…

ACC and UGA PD don’t have much to do other than write traffic tickets and arrest people for piddly BS.

Granted, this is another embarrassment for UF and Rainey’s actions are indefensible (not counting his attorney). However, fans of the team that won the Fulmer Cup in two of the last three years should be careful throwing stones in your glass house filled with warrants and subpoenas.
