Randall Cobb gets Level 9 testy and I’m wondering what Level 10 is like.

Randall Cobb is none too happy with some UK fans.

… The following was posted on Cobb’s Twitter account Sunday morning:

“To all the fans: loved seein Yall come late, love hearing Yall tell us we suck during the game, love that we have to play against our own fans too! Love that we can’t pack the house when we play the #10 team in the nation. It means that much more to me. I love my team! Brotherhood they got my back n I got they back. The rest of Yall can get ready for bball season! Don’t say u support n do all those things! Yeah I’m level 9 pissed… so deal w it! Not blaming all but Yall know who I’m talking abt- Yall know I love #bbn but something needed to be said.”

Too bad it hasn’t affected his play.

Wonder what we’ll hear next…maybe a) “somebody hacked my twitter account” or b)”uk players no longer allowed to twit”

He is showing a lot of love there. Wait. Wait just one minute. You know what? I think he is being sarcastic about loving those fans that show up late and tell the football team they suck. Yes, yes indeed. He is being sarcastic! The nerve of some people.

    Bully for him.

I know some students trickled in late, but they the attendance was over capacity. I also find it hard to believe there were many fans telling them they sucked, though at the half, they certainly could have been said to suck.

UK fan I know said 3-4,000 people left late in the 3rd quarter.

A lot of Dawg fans left the Arkansas game early. When you’re getting beat (and let’s face it, if any Kentucky fans say they thought they had a legitimate shot before the TD early in the fourth, they’re lying) some fans leave, no matter the school.

A lot of Georgia fans did leave Arkansas early and, as far as I’m concerned, they can stay gone.

I’m almost at the point where I agree with one of my good friends that it would be worth a losing season just to get rid of all of the bandwagon jumpers.

I don’t blame Cobb at all for letting out some frustration at the front-running fans.

          • Go Dawgs!

They come back as soon as the team gets good again, Tom, there’s no way to bar the door after they leave.

          • Biggus Rickus

I’m not a front-runner, and I left early. Staying to the final gun every game doesn’t make you a die-hard fan. In some cases it may even make you a masochist.

            • Just asking...

What about this week? I left with 11 minutes left up 43-0. Am I off the bandwagon?

              • Biggus Rickus

You didn’t stay to watch Munzenmeier plow into the line for three yards repeatedly? Shame on you!

                • Puffdawg

I usually like your comments, but gonna have to disagree here. Why would you have left early at Arkansas, a game where there was only a two score differential with an entire quarter to go? Keeping it real, I assume? I’ve never left a game early in my entire life, whether it was a blow out win or loss.

                  • Biggus Rickus

Partially because I was hungover and dying in the sun, and partially because the offense was lethargic while the defense was a sieve in the first half.

That’s not good for UK football recruiting, basically confirms the stereotype of them being a basketball school whose fans could care less about football. On the flip side, per standard Georgia luck that probably motivates the Kentucky students/fanbase to show up with Gusto Saturday night, oh joy.

OK, to those of you who will be joining me in Lexington this weekend, I’m calling an audible. Everybody wear blue. Paint your faces blue. Buy UK gear. Get Tech-style blue afro wigs. And then get as close to the field as you can and just dog-cuss the UK players and see if we can’t get them to have a nervous breakdown.

I married into a family of UK alumni.
Believe me, Cobb could move heaven and earth (which, by God, he does very Saturday) and all those people just do not care.
They just want to know when Midnight Madness going to be.

    • Gen. Stoopnagle

I think that was part of the problem. Their midnight hoops party was Friday or sometime earlier in the week.

Honestly, what did he expect at UK? I mean, DUH.

I’m more worried about Cobb on the wheel route, like he ran against SC for the go ahead score.

    • Biggus Rickus

Loke, the wheel route will be run once, maybe twice in the game. What happens on the other 50 (hopefully, only 50) Kentucky offensive plays will decide the game.

Upon learning that Randall’s tweets were scrubbed, sanitized and re-tweeted, probably on the direct orders of some Joker, and that Randall’s offensive against the Kentucky fans still remainded at threat Level 9

those controlling the Kentucky athletic program, i.e., the Rick Pitinos, his wives, his girlfriends and Ashley, know that if the threat escalates, it has to first pass through District 9 on its way to Level 10 and the only way to handle that would be with the usual airlift of catfood
