Monday lunch buffet

Not too spicy…

  • Anybody surprised that Charlie Strong’s Louisville team is improving?
  • College kickers end up coaching themselves.
  • Whatever Justin Houston did to prepare himself last week, he needs to clone it for this week.
  • CBS’ coverage of Cam Newton’s coming out party did boffo ratings, up 27% from CBS’ comparable coverage of a Tennessee-Alabama game last year.
  • Man, they’re busy throwing everybody under the bus in Austin.
  • We’re not the only ones with crazy dreams about winning the division.
  • The Orlando Sentinel’s Gator Twitter feed is pure comedy gold today:  (1) “John Brantley said Chris Rainey has changed as a person.”; (2) Meyer on watching Cam Newton: “It’s really hard.”; and, of course (3) “WR Chris Rainey day-to-day. Is eligible. Meyer said would know Thursday if would play vs. #Georgia.” C’mon, Corch, the suspense is killing me!
  • Weather conditions for the Cocktail Party look good:  mostly clear, with highs in the mid-upper 70’s.

The Auburn/LSU ratings seem about right. Two undefeateds that are interesting. Les Miles is worth ratings by himself. Compare to Bama, a team with every trace of personality wiped clean.

Chris Rainey: Corch would make a good criminal defense lawyer. The things he can say with a straight face.

Is it safe to assume the Cocktail Party will not match those numbers?

Be careful with that Jenn Sterger link in the Mack Brown article, I just spit out perfectly good coffee. Yowza!

    I think you missed this:

It looks like a group from Detroit came down to avenge the beating Matt Stafford received from Kentucky a few years ago.

Sure, Corch Myers. We believe that there’s doubt that Rainey may play against Georgia. That’s going to throw a real monkey wrench in our plans for the game. Now what personnel groups will our coaches get ready for? I guess we’ve got to practice both ways!

He’s playing. He’s playing a lot. Man, if I had just one wish for Saturday it would be that Evil Richt just takes leave of his senses and runs the score up to the level of Biblical retribution. I hate Corch Myers, and I hope that we beat him so bad he has palpitations.

Evil Richt: “and I will strike down upon thee with great vengence and furious anger those who did (along with Jonathan Crompton, Stephen Garcia, Roddy Jones, whole Kentucky offensive team 2009, and many other random no names) destroy by Brother Willie…”

From the Orlando Sentinel twitter feed, a quote that looks weirder in print: “It doesn’t look like us out there. It doesn’t look like bang!”

When you say it’s going to be mid to upper 70s , is that for us or Florida?

    RE: L’ville
I know PWD and some others had been poo-pooing the match up with L’ville since they went into the tank, but I thought it was still a decent series against a BCS team that was winnable.

Now, with Strong, I am getting a little nervous about it.

Yeah, I’ve been nervous about that Louisville game since Strong was hired. That guy is a thorn in Richt’s craw; I don’t look forward to that thing at all.
