This is so on.
I wonder how many of the WWL’s talking heads wind up being deposed.
Filed under ESPN Is The Devil, Mike Leach. Yar!
Does this make Leach less attractive to potential employers?
Excellent Festivus reference, as we head into the holidays…….
I wish him well, he was jobbed by the WWL and TT. Colorado and malzahn should have him on their short-list, they are going to need all the offense they can acquire.
C’mon everybody, admit it. The Pirate and Evil Richt with KTMFD Grantham?!!! WE SO WANT THIS!!!!!! Hell, AJ would stick around for this. Think Corch’s heart might skip a beat? You bet! Ol’ Ball Coach can’t run Lattimore enough to score 50. And what a coming out party in the Dome vs. Boise.
As Donald Trump would say, this would be HUOUGE!!
Can someone please tell me what is going on with that picture of the author on the linked page? Yikes.
Dan Patrick is wishing he could disappear for a while. His dramatic toss off comment is the centerpiece of Leach’s claim.
Mike, Hog, not Dan.
Right, thanks. But you get the idea.
Oh no!!!! Does this mean those of us who actually listen to the TV broadcast could be without Bob Davie or something?
I guess people actually do listen to these bozos….
I would like to see Mike Leach prevail, even if it is only nominal damages because I am starting to dislike the WWL and think they need a little comeuppance. But, libel/slander suits are not usually very successful in the USA, particularly when a public figure – like the head coach of D-1 school – is involved. Maybe the depositions will be entertaining.
Senator, I was soooo hoping you’d notice that. Can’t wait for the head pirate to get Craig James’ skull served up on a flag.
A word to the wise. Especially to the University think tanks out there. Coaches are the ultimate strategists and planners. Most have back-up plans for their back-up plans.
Take Tommy Tuberville for example. He left The University of Auburn with $5 million dollars and he didnt even have to work for the money.
Take a good look at (fast) Lane Kiffin. If he could actually apply some of those skills toward actual coaching by the rules. Jeez, the man could be a legend.
Take Nick Saban. The man always lands on his feet.
The list goes on and on. Thats because while everyone else thinks they know where the ship is heading. A good coach has already charted ever ysecond of the trip and made contigency plans for things that might go wrong.
Yeah, Yeah, I know… I know…
Universities graduate some of the best and brightest minds this world will ever see. But in the Chess game we call life. Coaches are the ones who do the preparation and the forward thinking and they have (mostly) already sussed out where every move is going well in advance. Coaches are the ultimate opportunists and damage control specialists.
Eventually schools will figure this out.
Until then maybe they will figure out. If you have to let the coach go, make sure that it is under the most freindly manner possible.
I would guess WWL has an insurance plan in place for things like this. The damage will be to their credibility rather than the pocketbook. Good for Leach though.
