Will is doing what needed to be done. Too many of the arrests at UF were not of the alley exiting variety. I also think the posistion created for coach Van was necessary. After a 6 and 6 season the UGA coaching staff has enough on their plates without having to chase after 99 or so hard tails.

Cause I’m sure corch never talked about not being arrested. The test for Mushy will come when a star player gets arrested. Then we’ll see see if he’s more than just talk.

Does this mean that rattling off a few with the AK is now off limits?

Well then. He’d better start recruiting the top .5% of the top .5% because clearly the bar wasn’t high enough in Gainesville.

Sounds like the talk we heard out of Dooley when he went to UT. We see how that ended up with the bar brawl…………….

Eh, nothing that most new coaches don’t do

Maybe they won’t go public but I mean, we see this whenever a new coach comes in and wants to change things

It only matters if he wins

Sounds just like the Georgia way and we haven’t got a handle on it yet.

Cutting loose a few with an AK is just good clean fun. Telling your girlfriend that she is dead is taking it a little too far. Unless you cut loose at your girlfriend with the AK. Then there is a problem.

So his winning gameplan and roadmap to success is plageurizing a mediocre Kiefer Southerland/ Woody Harrelson movie?
This should be fun to watch.

I look forward to see if the Florida coach can make this work within the context of winning. A lot of coaches talk a lot about character but still have high-arrest/questionable character clubs. I’m not happy about our lengthy rap sheet, but I think Richt has at least left himself some room to maneuver depending on the offense(s). The Florida coach may have backed himself into a corner on this issue. But if he errs, I expect it will be on the side of being competitive/winning.

Sounds like he’s emulating what Mark Richt has been doing for 10 years. Good luck getting your thugs straightened out Will.

hmmmmmm. wonder if when the gators DO get arrested they will still be suspended only for games that don’t matter (and never, EVER miss the georgia game).

Florida rarely has those kinds of consecutive seasons. However, given Florida is changing the coaching staff and apparently going to a completely new offensive style, a 8-5 season in Gainesville in 2011 is not out of the question.

Because none of its coaches was dumb enough to give more than lip service to “The Florida Way”.

I am not sure there is correlation. For example, while at Florida Zook was not much of a disciplinarian. And for all the complaints about Rainey, Florida has not done well this year either.

Can’t we wish for something more, like back to back losing seasons? The return of Doug Dickey?

Those days also include Larry Munson’s best call that never makes the greatest hits list: “Gene Washington, thinking of Montreal and the Olympics, running out of his shoes. The Gator Bowl ROCKING, the girders bending.”

When did douche or douchebag become the de rigueur internet insult? Can we try to revive good old fashion jerk or asshole?

I actually think that Corch Muschamp should be able to make some headway in this department. From what I’ve been told, he knew a thing or two about ways to get into and out of trouble during his days of “temporary insanity” at Georgia.

I like the fact that he’s talking about developing their “spiritual”. WTH does that even mean? Is he going to have a chaplain for every faith belief he has on his team, or does this mean they’re going to say the Lord’s prayer before and after every game and practice? There are lots of places to develop someone’s “spiritual”, as he puts it, but I’m pretty sure that should never fall under the realm of a football team.

Has Will hired an OC yet?

If he’s going to run a pro-style offense, he should hire Friedgen.

So, now UF is going to pay attention to suspended licenses and scooter violations? THIS is what we need.

Will’s going to tighten up. If you are walk-on or 3rd string you can count on some heavy suspensions. 2nd string guys get a good talking to. 1st String a stern warning, All Americans one quarter suspension for aggravated assault.
