- December 3rd has the makings of a monster day of college football.
- Alabama’s new House Speaker roomed next door to Herschel Walker in college. Then it all went downhill when he left for a job at Auburn.
- Ironically, by going public when he did, Harvey Updyke may have given Auburn the chance to save the Toomer’s Corner oaks.
- Matt Barkley, I could have told you that some people don’t like it when you mix sports with politics.
- It’s too bad that Goldman Sachs doesn’t invest in one of the BCS games. Then PlayoffPAC might be doing something beneficial for the public.
Get The Picture 
There’s really only one super saturday for me and that’s Oct 29th.

I don’t know Mike Hubbard. I have to believe that anyone who worked in the Auburn Athletic Department during Pat Dye’s reign had to at least know about the pay for play scheme that was going on. Did he report it to the proper authorities? No! Sadly, that makes him a crook in my judgment and unfit for public office.

The bowls may not like it but December 10 needs to be put in the mix. There are simply too many huge games on December 3 for CFB fans to follow. Bad enough we don’t get a playoff system to see the big matchups, now the conferences want to overlap 5-6 prime games onto one day. You have the think the TV execs will get involved to milk two weeks of high ratings out of this. By utilizing the 3rd and 10th we can have great CFB for two consecutive weekends and not have to choose which game to miss. Of course, this is the same group that puts one SEC game at 12:20, one at 3:30, then 3-4 games between 6:30 and 8:45. So maybe not; guess those corporate marketing gurus don’t want me to sit through their commercials and consider their products.
