Slippery mother tongue

So tell me, what conclusion did you jump to when you read this header?

Newton has accuracy issues, explains himself at combine

Me, too.

  1. Sounds like whomever cleans his bathroom isn’t a big fan of his.

I do not understand why any QB who fancies himself a future pro would go to a Spread team. I really don’t. In the NFL, you drop back, you do your reads. Then either throw, by a little time to throw, throw it away and then maybe run. Even Vick has figured out he needs to do his reads first. And Newton is not nearly as quick or fast as Vick.

No, but I bet he could truck a linebacker or two depending on the team before going down like a broken rag-doll a-la Vick.

      • Quarterbacks don’t make a living in the NFL by trucking linebackers……
        Not For Long anyways!

God how much would Urlacher or Ray Lewis love to see Newton try to truck them over. Now I would pay money to see that. And I am sure there are dozens of other middle linebackers who would love to see that.

      Cash money dog.

If Paul Johnson had offered him 250K, sCam woulda been the home town hero that runs the triple option on the Flats.

Sure, except for the inconvenient fact that the NFL just crossed the threshold of running more offensive plays out of the shotgun than QB-under-center.

JaMarcus Russell will end up being a better pro than $cam, yeah I said it! He is a bust in the draft, I mean come on he was throwing against air and no DB covering the WR how bad can he be?

I am certain that it is merely a money issue. $Cam is not getting paid to preform at the combine like he was at Auburn.

Why is D.Orlando writing a column about Cram? The Falcons have a real QB.

His advisers are the only thing amateur about Cam. The prepared statement, the Icon thing then letting him throw, what were these guys thinking – oh never mind.

Why does the press not play up the fact that Cam ain’t the brightest bulb in the pack. Stafford was calling audibles as as Sophmore. Aaron was calling them last year as a Frosh. Cam wasn’t allowed to call plays and had to look at the pretty pictures on the sidelines. Good luck with that in the NFL.

Haha, you got that right Patin, looking to the sidelines to call plays is a child’s play. I mean really, one can only hope that guys who want to be future NFL QBs will start to shy away from teams that do that. It would make that stupid idea slowly fade out of the game, or at least I hope it will.

Ummm…doesn’t the NFL have a radio in the QB’s ear with the sideline for a brief time before every play?

Yes, but not while the defense is setting up and it quits with like 20 secs left on the play clock.

Everyone in the NFL is a frakish athlete. They run faster, they hit harder and well. Newton trucking an NFL LB is probably not something he will do too many times. These guys know how to make you pay.
If Newton cant drop back and pass he becomes a RB in the The QB slot. Which given the physicality of the NFL game will not end well for Cam.
Aside from that, given his history, everywhere Cam goes he will be covered in controversy, He WILL be more trouble than he is worth. And eventually he will bust.
