    It’s terrible, no doubt. The kid cannot catch a break and I will be praying for a quick recovery. I hope he does not give up.

    That being said, it is time for someone on this offensive line to step up and get to work. Another position just opened up, boys, who wants it?

      Don’t think there’s anything to “give up.” His eligibility is all used up, he already used his redshirt. Just a really shitty way for a guy to go out.

          True, but he’ll never get drafted after three such surgeries.

          After two rehabs, he must decide if it’s worth the pain of another just to get back on the team.

    I just wanna cry for the kid. Three? I mean, really? Unfair doesn’t begin to describe it.

    (Deep breath.)

    It’s not a spinal or brain injury. He didn’t die on the field due to some weird arhythmia. He just tore the same ligament that he’s torn twice before and saw the already closing door the NFL finally shut.

    It sucks and I ache for him, but it’s not the end of the world. He can still coach or do whatever his studies have prepared him for.

      Wasn’t Trinton the one who was going to be validictorian of his hs class but the NCAA wouldn’t let Richt go to his graduation? I hate it for TS, but hopefully he’s continued to take his studies seriously and can parlay his time as a UGA football player/student into a nice career of some sort.

    “Most college players go pro in something other than sports.” TS is a DGD and we all should pray that he has planned for and prepared for a future after football. Get your degree TS. That said, we can also hope that he rehabs the knee successfully and comes back for a 6th season.

    I hope and pray he doesn’t let this defeat him. He has suffered enough for the Red and Black, I hope he had some good insurance otherwise you will get to see what really sucks about college football.

    He will still get a shot in a NFL camp. It won’t be with a big contract, but he’ll get a shot.

    Feel terrible for the kid. Like the Senator said life is not fair. Far as I know he is a guy that has always done everything the right way. Been there five years and never heard a sniff of him doing anything wrong. Whether or not he comes back for a sixth year I wish him the best. Maybe a grad assistant for the offensive line is in his future and down the road coaching. Whatever it is with the work ethic he has shown in coming back from two knee surgeries already I know he will do great at whatever he decides to do.

    Trinton seems like a good kid. He has to be wondering if another rehab is worth the effort.

    In some cases human knees aren’t meant to take the stress and load of a 320 pound body doing those athletic things. All those offensive linemen regularly wear heavy braces. I’m surprised more of them don’t wind up like this poor kid.
