Suggestion for Mark Emmert

Wouldn’t it save the NCAA money to relocate its investigative staff to Birmingham on a permanent basis?  It sure would cut down on the travel time.

Auburn, Alabama would be even more convenient.

In some ways the SEC is starting to remind me of the SWC during the 1980′s, except that the SWC wasn’t playing with as much money.

And unlike the SWC brainiacs, most (an average run-of-the-mill NCAA investigators’ most educated guess would probably be at least 10 out of 12) of the SEC conglomerates are savvy enough not to reduce to writing their employment contracts with players, their daddies, or 7 on 7 camp instructors.

Dunno. How much is airfare from Birmingham to Columbus, OH?

Southwest flies out of Birmingham, so BHam to Cbus should be cheap. Think of the frequent flier miles.

Now, little things like this are exactly why Clark Howard is a self-made millionaire who made his fortune in the travel agency business.
