The University of Nebraska at Omaha funds its $1.4 million application fee to the NCAA to move to Division I – the first school to pay the new, much higher amount – out of savings from cancelling its football program.
March Madness sure is getting expensive for some.
Athletic Director Trev Alberts cuts football to promote basketball. Overall it’s really costing $2.7 million after buyouts and upgrades.

Schools like that have no business having football, IMO: urban location/commuter student base, public, several steps below the state flagship. I mean, who do they think they are, Georgia State or something?
