I don’t need to talk to a beat writer to reach the same conclusion Tony Barnhart does.
After talking to Josh Kendall of The State newspaper, no doubt in my mind that Stephen Garcia will be back for South Carolina.

“And Georgia fans, don’t be turds. Enjoy this. Soak it up. It’s awesome. If you don’t win this year, it’s still not a failure. It’s a heck of a run. Back-to-back in the Playoff era hasn’t been done. So, to ask for a third I feel like it’s gluttonous. I feel like it’s not OK. But we’ll be in the mix.”-- David Pollack, On3.com, 5/9/23
Tony, that’s why you make the big bucks. Way to stick the old neck out.

This was not even a yawn. Short of assaulting the President’s daughter Steven Garcia is bullet proof. Guess what he knows it and has acted as anyone so entitled would act. The only thing SCU has done is to give Steven a lot of time off from the thing all players hate the most, the off season. The only justice to this is that even the NFL can’t help but take note that this guy will be TROUBLE to any team that takes him.

The odds are really high that he will have a alcohol driven screw up before September anyway. Especially considering that he has graduated. Besides I’m concerned about Lattimore and that USC defense than deadhead Garica.

Seriously, though, the Senator has the freedom to predict whatever he wants and can determine with his own mind to be the truth while schlubs like TB have to wait and confirm when it is acceptable to wipe their own behinds. Meanwhile, his readership will ebb and flow with the level of his reliability. Consequently, GTP oozes veracity and TB has, it gives me great sadness to say, become a sock puppet.

I’m sure Garcia is really learning his lesson, what with being kicked off of the team while the team isn’t actually doing anything. That “indefinite” tag sure has to be scary to him, too, knowing that there’s not even the shadow of a chance that he won’t be on the team when practice starts for the summer. If a guy’s problem is that he’s drinking or smoking weed or whatever, giving him more time off isn’t the answer, SOS.

Like everyone else, I’m not a bit surprised. Honestly, I am shocked he didn’t miss a snap for the whole keying a prof’s car incident. That is insanity right there. Vandalizing an authority figure’s car and zero meaningful punishment.
I’m sure the faculty at South Carolina is thrilled with how the administration stuck their neck out for them.

They sure do a good job of suspending him for spring and summer practices. I’m sure that really teaches him a lesson. Maybe they can suspend him from doing homework or doing his own laundry, too. Oooooh, that’ll teach him! Maybe they can suspend him from all the consequences of his actions……oh wait, I think they did that.

In real news, Ealey is cutting loose from UGA. Not THAT surprising, but it’s a lot more interesting than saying the sky is still blue in Columbia.
