When hot seat met pocketbook.

Those of you who had visions that there was enough fan unrest about the last two years to impact ticket sales for the Boise State game, guess again(h/t lucid idiocy)

Hmmmm…..doesn’t quite seem to jive with what Bill King reported yesterday.

“UGA has announced that all previous requests for Boise State tickets made by 2011 Hartman Fund donors will be fulfilled and everyone who contributed at least $100 is eligible to request additional upper level tickets for the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game. Let’s make sure the Dome is packed to the rafters with red shirts!”

Wonder where the disconnect is there?

I don’t think there will ever be causation between ticket sales for UGA vs. a top 10 ten and fan unrest with the program.

In 2005 I was impressed by how many B State fans were in Athens. I am sure there will be more for this game.

Reading the AJC, there are lots of people in the ATL who are gleefully expecting a train wreck. Apparently they are willing to pay good money to witness it.

As a 30 year contributor to GEEF, I received the e-mail from UGA about the Boise tickets at about 9:30 a.m. on my way to a meeting out of the office. By the time I got back in the office at 3:00 p.m. to order my allotment, they were sold out.

Interesting. Faculty/Staff orders aren’t due until May 31. My guess is that there’s still some in reserve.
