Hamilton has fired 3 coaches and owes them all money, including $331,000 next year to a baseball coach who will sit on his arse. No Hines Ward congrats, Senator? 🙂

    • Sorry, but GTP is located in a no-Dancing With The Stars Zone. 😉

Like the nDWTSZ stance. Haven’t watched an episode myself until last night when I joined my wife in watching due to the Hines factor. Thought it was cool when he voluntarily said he “loves the bulldog nation” as he was awarded the title. DGD indeed.

I have no complaints with hamilton. Hope he stays at ut for a long, long time. Unless we screw it up, Dawgs should be getting plenty of W’s during hamilton’s tenure.

Well, the Dawgs are only 4-4 against them so far in his tenure. But with any luck, Hamilton’s incompetence will continue unabated, and the Dawgs will win more often going forward.

I think the Larry Brown article is a load of crap (I’m also pretty biased so I know my opinion isn’t totally objective). While he basically tries to link Georgia’s crime rate with winning at all costs he never actually states that connection outright and then to top it off he ignores the string of suspensions and dismissals that have occurred over the past two years.

His best point is about Grantham, but even that by itself doesn’t demonstrate a “win at all cost” mentality.

What he should have brought up richt demanding his team celebrated until they were penalized in 2007. That’s more “winning at all cost” than the arrest record.

I wonder if Larry Brown has ever heard of an “ad hominem” argument. Probably not.

      +1

He uses the arrests as his club, but is too stupid or too clever to look beyond “factoids” from the stalwarts of integrity at the AJC.

If CMR was a “win at all costs” guy, we’d have kept Michael Lemon and Montez Robinson on the team. Undoubtedly, these guys would’ve had an impact on our (pitiful) D over the past few years.

So glad the link from GTP bumped up his number of comments in defense of Richt today. I think he was pretty made to look like an idiot by our facts. Good job guys!

I’m with you, TennesseeDawg. I mean, he did give a shout-out to Bulldog Nation when he got the trophy…

Agreed. The guy’s a funny writer (a little long-winded, though), but the comments are the icing on the cake. Nothing like the rage of the self-righteous.

Larry Brown’s “win at all costs” argument would have had more weight if Richt was actually winning these last few years.

That SC article was pretty damn funny. I hadn’t really thought about them being the favorites in those terms before, but it turns out things really are ass-backwards in the East the past few years.

SCU is probably one injury away from dropping back to the sec-east basement. But Dawgs had better be ready to fight for it on Sept. 10th.

We need to be playing the late in the season when they are in their “swan dive” part of the year. Early on they are pretty good. How about UGA swapping dates between Kentucky and USCe? Let’s play UK early and USCe later.

    • The offseason would feel shorter for me if more previews were like that South Carolina write-up. Incorporating history, incredulity, and psychology (or pathology?) is something we don’t get from a lot of X’s and O’s style articles. Though y’all’s mileage may differ, all the Gamecock fans I know who are usually so full of unsupportable bravado in the offseason are now experiencing the dark, quiet emotions that come from with having something to lose.
