Of course he did.

Trooper Taylor chest bumps the President.

Ain't no thang, dog.

The only move that would have made the moment even classier would have been for Trooper to place a baseball cap backwards on Obama’s head.  I can’t believe he left that on the table.

UPDATE:  The video is even more glorious awkward than I anticipated.

If the First Lady can make herself look foolish by hugging the Queen of England, I can see why Trooper thinks he had license.

Reminds me of Babe Ruth and Herbert Hoover. Somebody tells Babe he made more than the president. Babe says “I had a better year than he did.”

Perhaps a beer summit is next? Well, at least Trooper had his shirtail tucked in for a change.

Is it just me or does Troopers expression combined with the rest of the Tigers direction of focus and expression make it seem like Obama has got “Trooper” in the palm of his hand.

Not surprised. He and the majority of that team were raised in a barn and didn’t know their fathers so what would you expect. No class and no dignity.

    I can’t stand this.

If I were POTUS (ha ha) I’d have one day per year where every champ from little league world series all the way up to Lombardi Trophy could come to the lawn for lemon-aid and hot dogs.

The man’s got more important things to do then kick it with Trooper and Ryan Pugh.

  12. Wow, Obama was in the same room with Pugh and Fairley? I’m guessing the Secret Service was on high alert for that little get-together. “We’re on a Level 1 alert, men. Don’t let any of them have a clear line of sight to his knees.”

The picture doesn’t show this, but Trooper is actually a foot off the ground in a mid air chest bump…

Makes sense. Their heads are about at the same level in the picture but Obama’s about six three and Trooper’s functionally a midget.

The Republican operatives in Obama’s Ministry of Bipartisanship told him he would win Alabama in 2012 if he entertained the Aubies by meeting with the Trooper in a USO show. However, because those operatives want to keep him on such a short lease of the White House, they want him to get right back to work on a, “low-tax, limited government haven of conservative religious values like … Pakistan” after the dog and pony show

What did I learn from the Townhall Meeting where a Viking shows Muslims gay Muslim porn, which instead of turning them on, much to the Viking’s suprise actually provokes them?

You insult political opponents as akin to a failed theocratic state.

I pity the left for aspiring to create in America what is endangered and fast fading in Europe.

To the opponents of our civilization, we’re all hiding behind Gharkhad trees, left right and center.

“a failed theocratic state.” Which one?

“I pity the left” The Left? What Left? The Marxist President who governs like a Moderate Republican? The Democratic Party? The Black Panthers in Philly? Both of them.

Opponents of our civilization? The Republican and Democratic Parties? Thank goodness for voter suppression laws and Gitmo so we can think about important things like Katy “Does My Ass Look Fat?” Perry.

Good Dawg..in Fla. Does everyone else realize that the Green-Eyed Monster is exuded by most on this blog?

Substitute Dawg player’s faces here and see if you make such sophomoric statements. I dislike any jealousy expressed toward any school team who has earned a NC. Come on, Dawgs, this is beneath our dignity. We are better than this and when we win it we will say the same thing about anyone trying to trivialize our moment. We can hate Auburn the same way we always have, but bringing in idiotic political statements and banal humor about the President of our country congratulating our hated opponents is more than a couple bubbles off center plumb. It’s downright unAmerican. Now some of you go brush your teeth and go back to bed. And don’t turn your radio on listening to Rush Limbaugh.

    • I will make fun of Auburn as much as I like, and Trooper Taylor in particular, whether they go 14-0 or 1-11. To coin a phrase from my girlfriend, “This sport isn’t called Feelingsball.”

As for criticizing the president: It’s well known ’round these parts that I’m a loathsome commie liberal who voted for Obama and would do so again, and when the right-wingers on here crack their (frequently lame) jokes, I roll my eyes. But to say that it’s “unAmerican” to make fun of the president is just a big a crock of BS now as it was when Bush was in office. Think of all the countries in the world where cracking jokes at the head of state’s expense would get you thrown in jail or worse, and remember that the U.S.A. was founded specifically to be one of the few places on earth where that wouldn’t happen. Making fun of the president, or anyone else in government, is one of the most American things there is.

    • Just curious: who on Georgia’s staff do you perceive is the most likely candidate to chest bump with Obama?

Disliking Trooper Taylor has absolutely nothing to do with Auburn’s success. Very rarely do I dislike anyone in the sports culture. I can even find redeeming qualities for Steve Spurrier and Urban Meyer. But Trooper Taylor has shown over and over again that he is still an immature, irresponsible little twit. I would never want that man anywhere near Georgia football, and it has nothing to do with his team winning anything.

The Secret Service called an intentional foul on Trooper and sent Obama to the line for two.

Doug, you could have at least thrown a snitfit to encourage curmudgery. You didn’t have to make me smile. However, some of you Dawgs need to take a vacation. You might try Gingrich Med Cruises. Newt just got back from Greece in time for Sonny’s nomination of Pawlenty so we know there is room on the boat. Also, Cong. Weiner wants to meet Fairly for chest bumps.
