“And Georgia fans, don’t be turds. Enjoy this. Soak it up. It’s awesome. If you don’t win this year, it’s still not a failure. It’s a heck of a run. Back-to-back in the Playoff era hasn’t been done. So, to ask for a third I feel like it’s gluttonous. I feel like it’s not OK. But we’ll be in the mix.”-- David Pollack, On3.com, 5/9/23
But in no way were any football players paid for their ahem services.

Looks like Auburn has put the “Ho” in Hostessing (the Vols aren’t too shabby at this either)

Gives a whole new meaning to the term “fan turnout”.

Most of the comments over there on the Brooks site seem to be missing his point. He’s not criticizing using sex (actual or allure thereof) to sell Auburn. He’s suggesting there’s a connection between cash paid to Tigerettes and cash showing up in the hands of recruits. I honestly think that’s a little far-fetched. If you’re moving cash to prospective players, it’s risky enough having to trust high school boys. Bring college girls into the scheme sounds like big, big trouble.

Every school in the SEC is thinking to themselves “Uh Oh. Let’s hope Brooks doesn’t step foot on our campus.” He’s the Jim Cantore of College Football Reporting.

He has already been on our campus – unless we do something really egregious we should be fine.

Funneling cash payments thru the Tigerettes. I thought they just let the staff do it.

I understand the “funneling” theory. Maybe it’s true but it sure would be a risky way to do it. “Loose lips” (no pun intended) could really sink someone’s ship if it got out and I think it would be hard to keep that a secret. IMO what actually has been uncovered is an expansion of the world’s oldest profession and application of same to football recruiting. This kind of sh!t has been going on for as long as I can remember only the girls used to do it for free. But now it looks like there is a new way to make money at “work study”–at least at Auburn. Each week it seems that a new low gets achieved by that shameless excuse for a university.

You guys might well be the smartest fan base ever in college football.
If I look at the numbers, it comes out to about $200/month.
Yeah. Hookers and Cash, the secret to AU beating UGA last year.
Forgive me, I almost forgot about tackling your candy-ass QB.

Ward, BTW the UGA hostesses get paid too, but no-one on Get the Picture wants to admit it. All these girls & guys that host recruits do other administrative things for the athletic depts besides entertain the players.

I say let those Title 9 female athletes who get schollies for miniscule sports do this. Might as well do something to earn their keep. Let The aU keep that money to pay for their football recruits. Now that Saban and Reverend Nutt have to cut back on oversigning it is going to get tougher to buy a title.

Have you seen the female athletes of which you speak? That dog won’t hunt.

Since no one actually sees them play, I wouldn’t know what they look like. But I will take your opinion and say this might be a good time to improve our recruiting standards since the objective would be different.

What’s with the allegation (in the comments) about Crowell and a B&E?
Is this rumor anywhere else?
