… at least the dude’s got a sense of humor about himself.
Can you imagine Saban or Meyer doing something like that?

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23

Actually pretty neat to involve his kids in something like that. However, my money is still on CMR in a game of one on one between the two.

If he was chomping a corndog it would have been hilarious.

I agree.
I would love to know the back story on this video.

I don’t care what context it is in, grown adults blocking the crap out of children in basketball is always hilarious.

Especially when he screams in the little girl’s face afterwards.

Excellent clip. Loved the purple nut-huggers a la John Stockton.

I love Les Miles. Granted, I would never want him as my head coach but I love having him in the SEC.
I assume this was part of SVP’s thing to give Les a pair of shoes with the radio show and Twitter account. SVP is the best radio host ESPN has and he seems like a fun guy to hang out with, drink a beer, and chat sports and other guy stuff.
That video is good stuff indeed.

My wife liked SVP when he used to be on “Friends”.

I wish more of the SEC coaches were like CMR and The Hat. At least they seem to be comfortable in their own skin, motivated to be successful but not consumed by it.

Good stuff. The Hat takes a lot of crap from people (rightly so, many times) for some of his decisions, but he has a good time, and they win. He doesn’t seem to take it too seriously like some of the other coaches out there. It’s supposed to be fun.

Love the video, and I’ve always thought Les Miles seemed like a cool guy.
Still, I bet Nike is PISSED.

I’ve been out of the country for a while, so I just got to see this video. Converse is actually a subsidiary of Nike, and it has been for about 8 years. So, I’m willing to bet that Nike is THRILLED about the Converse getting some airtime. Also, Cole Haan is a subsidiary of Nike, too.

Ha! Hope Nike doesn’t get upset!
